Had a very successful Wonder Con this past weekend. I did a bunch of commissions and sketch covers as well as debuting the first issue of Me2. Fantastic response to Me2 and I sold out of the first issue of ECB again. So much support for indie comics at conventions. It sometimes feels like there are two comic industries. The comic book store reality and the comic convention reality. As much as I love comic stores it's difficult to get new product into them with the current business model. It's been discussed again and again that comic stores don't attract younger or female readers. It's the exact opposite at comic conventions. This more diversified audience wants more variety in their content and it shows in what they support at the shows.
I have received my first batch of Me2 books and I am filling pre orders today. If you want to get your copy in the first wave and support indie creators like myself there is still time to order. Check the link below.
If you order today yours will go out tomorrow! karlaltstaetter.storenvy.com/

ECB Ends With A Bang
As most of you know I started my comic Emerald City Blues at a 24 hour comic challenge event a couple years back. This weekend I'm going to attempt to finish it at another! I'll be at The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach this Saturday 10/4 from 4pm till issue 4 is done (or I fall down from exhaustion). If you've ever wanted to be part of making a comic book come on down and help me fill in the blacks, clean up pages and maybe ink some backgrounds. I'll have some ECB prints with me as well.

Back from Houston Finishing up ECB 4
Spent last weekend in Houston for the Amazing Comic Con show. I had a fantastic time! I met lots of people who follow my work and introduced it to many others.
Finally focusing on finishing Issue #4 of ECB Emerald City Blues. Beginning to think it may take a 5th issue to wrap it up. It's taken forever to finish it mostly because I keep thinking up new ideas that I want to add to it. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has read and supported it by buying issues of it. ECB had some to represent a transitional time in my creative development and I have enjoyed sharing it with everyone one Deviant Art.
I'm hoping to get it done by this ye
