I've been posting my work on DA for awhile now..I've have a few people mention that my artwork is very "90's"
Which made me think of how everyone says John Byrne is dated..
I don't feel like my work is dated but..it got me thinking..
Am I stuck in the 90's? and I just don't realize it?
And here I was thinking the Ameri-Manga thing was dead...and we were at the tail end of the hyper-photo referenced Ultimates era?
I feel like my work has changed a lot since the 90's...but maybe it still looks the same way to other people.
Is the 90's style dead?
Does style really matter in today's market?..because the fan base is so scattered..
am I over the hill and should give up and try another line of work?
Thoughts?

ECB Ends With A Bang
As most of you know I started my comic Emerald City Blues at a 24 hour comic challenge event a couple years back. This weekend I'm going to attempt to finish it at another! I'll be at The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach this Saturday 10/4 from 4pm till issue 4 is done (or I fall down from exhaustion). If you've ever wanted to be part of making a comic book come on down and help me fill in the blacks, clean up pages and maybe ink some backgrounds. I'll have some ECB prints with me as well.

Back from Houston Finishing up ECB 4
Spent last weekend in Houston for the Amazing Comic Con show. I had a fantastic time! I met lots of people who follow my work and introduced it to many others.
Finally focusing on finishing Issue #4 of ECB Emerald City Blues. Beginning to think it may take a 5th issue to wrap it up. It's taken forever to finish it mostly because I keep thinking up new ideas that I want to add to it. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has read and supported it by buying issues of it. ECB had some to represent a transitional time in my creative development and I have enjoyed sharing it with everyone one Deviant Art.
I'm hoping to get it done by this ye

Nop, actually I dont, but I cant discard theres an influence there, but if Ive put up some of you stuff with somthing donde then I would surely say there not the same. You got a great style, and Byrne got stuck cuz wasnt willing to learn new stuff and you have proven that you can take a critique an revaluate yourself and your work, which awfully hard to do.
